The Story Behind BKF
Ministries and callings are birthed out of seasons of opposition and desperation…. we have been there and that’s why we are here. We found ourselves in one of the toughest faith challenges of our life and it was having gone through that season of trekking in the wilderness, that God began to minister to us in a way we had never experienced before.
We knew that we were not the only ones in this journey alone, and having met couples who were blended and searching for the same resources like we were, was a God wink to begin the journey into a calling we did not know yet existed.
After reaching out to our local church, in hopes of finding classes and curriculum for blended families, we discovered that there wasn’t one class specifically for blended families and that resources were limited. Little did we know that God would use us to help fill this void in the church and blended families.
Blended Kingdom families was birthed out of God’s given desire to help couples in remarriage and cultivate community among blended families. Living blended our entire lives, we know first-hand both the joys and difficulties that can come along with it. The redemption and restoration that God has brought into our life, is a testament of His faithfulness and goodness, as we’ve experienced Him take the losses of our past, and turn them into our greatest gains.
To Him be the glory forever and ever, for nothing is impossible for God.

Founders
Scott
Scott Martindale is an authentic and passionate leader who loves to help people with their marriage, faith and daily walk of life. As a Christian LPC- Licensed Professional Counselor, that specializes in blended families, marriage and pre-marriage with over 17 years of experience. Scott holds a bachelors degree in psychology from Abilene Christian University and holds a Masters Degree in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin Simmons University.
Scott and his wife Vanessa, have been married over 10 years and are the founders of Blended Kingdom Families—a ministry that is committed to equipping and educating blended families with resources and practical skills through the truth of God’s word, empowering marriages and families to flourish in their kingdom identity and live life abundantly. Scott’s heart is to partner with married couples and families, to help them navigate the beautiful process of marriage and blending a family with Kingdom foundations.
Scott, and his wife Vanessa are a blended family with four sons and four dogs. In his down time Scott enjoys playing Golden Tee and Galaga, watching football, traveling and eating Mexican food.
Vanessa
Vanessa Martindale is a genuine and enthusiastic believer who loves Jesus, the bible and His people. She is a Christian wife and mother, registered nurse
and current Graduate Student at The Kings University pursuing a Masters Degree as a Marriage and Family therapist. She is also the ministry founder of Blended Kingdom Families.
Vanessa is passionate about leading people to walk in their Kingdom calling and purposes, seek out their freedom and authority, and flourish into deeper intimacy with Christ and His word. At home, she enjoys watching her boys play sports, performing dance parties with her 5 year old, decorating for every holiday and loves to worship and dance for Jesus.
Vanessa and her husband Scott, are a blended family with four sons. Together they are the founders of Blended Kingdom Families, a Christian Ministry committed to equipping and educating blended families with resources and practical skills through the truth of God’s word, empowering marriages and families to flourish in their kingdom identity and live life abundantly.
