Position Overview

BKF is looking for a social media intern with a passion for helping people and wanting to make a difference in the lives of blended families and marriages. Our ministry serves to spread the Gospel to blended families all over the world and help shine the light of Jesus Christ to every home and marriage. Blended Kingdom Families recently launched its ministry in January 2020 and we are excited about the direction the ministry is headed! We are looking to build a strong, creative, and dynamic team as we begin this journey to change the modern-day interpretation of blended families and build Kingdom families!

As our social media intern, you will partner with our marketing director and help to maximize our ministry’s social media presence. This is a paid internship that presents you with a great opportunity to add quality work to your resume, to learn more about working in the ministry and non-profit field, and to gain experience in growing social media for a start-up company!

Our Ministry’s Mission: Blended Kingdom Families exists to break the cycle of divorce by equipping marriages and uniting blended families in the truth of God’s word. We educate families with resources and practical skills, empowering them to flourish in their kingdom identity and live life abundantly.
Responsibilities
Creating content and brainstorming ideas for social media campaigns

Monitoring social media accounts, trends, and news

Scheduling content for multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok and LinkedIn)

Collaborating with marketing director to create unique and engaging social media content.

Working with the marketing director to implement long-term and short-term media campaigns.

Creating schedules to promote social media content across media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn).

Monitoring analytics from running social posts to identifying viable ideas

Finding new, scalable ways to grow social media following and increase engagement

Your role may expand beyond these duties to help where you are needed.

Skills Required for the Role
Have a passion for the world of social media marketing and digital marketing

Believer of Christ whose morals and values align with the mission and vision of the BKF ministry

Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn

Positive attitude towards co-workers and project

Strong Internet researching and writing skills

Detail-oriented and organized

Experienced with design software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere).

Proven written communication skills, and a passion for writing both short- and long copy

An interest in marketing, communications, social media or reputation management

Familiarity with key social media tools (i.e. Facebook, Instagram) and with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

An entrepreneurial attitude

The ability to work collaboratively with a team

Administrative Assistant Intern

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant Intern with a passion for helping people and want to help us make a difference in the lives of blended families and marriages.

Are you an autonomous, forward-thinking, and detailed administrator who loves to maintain structure and organization within your role? Do you enjoy owning a project from start to finish and working in a collaborative environment with other team members? We are looking for an Administrative Intern with a passion for helping people, someone who wants to help us make a difference in the lives of blended families (stepfamilies) and marriages.

Our Ministry’s Mission: Blended Kingdom Families exists to break the generational cycle of divorce, equip marriages, and unite blended families with the truth of God’s Word. We educate families with biblical resources and practical tools, empowering them to flourish in their Kingdom identity and live abundantly.

Blended Kingdom Families is a 501 c3 non-profit organization. We are looking to build a strong, creative, and dynamic team and this position would work directly with our COO, Founder, and the entire team.

Location: Colleyville, TX – ON SITE (This is not a remote position)
Responsibilities
Work directly with Blended Kingdom Families COO on various administrative duties

Send and respond to emails and calls professionally and efficiently

Manage swag and other merch sent out to our community (e.g. stock supplies, orders, mail tracking)

Maintain relationships with all vendor accounts

Proficient using WordPress, DropBox, Google Docs, Excel, Zoom, Asana- Project Management System, Microsoft Teams

Coordinate and execute tasks regarding conferences (registration, communication with conference coordinator, booth set up, etc.)

Flexibility to assist in various tasks with other team members when needed

Manage all inventory- incoming and outgoing

Scheduling all internal ministry meetings and associated team holiday events

Tracking and overseeing project management

Your role may expand beyond these duties to help where you are needed

Skills Required for the Role
3+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, Coordinator or related experience required (i.e. executive assistant)

Believer of Christ whose morals and values align with the mission and vision of the BKF ministry.

High level of professional communication skills

Excellent team player with multitasking, communication, and time-management skills

Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

Visionary and autonomous in their role

Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Business Administration/ Communication and/or Marketing or related experience required

Proficient in all Microsoft Products- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365

Strong organizational, keen attention to detail, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
