Kenny and Heidi Drury are a blended family of 17 years with five children and seven grandchildren. They have been equipping couples one-on-one and in group settings for five years. In their own lives, they have overcome addictions, rejection and abandonment issues, anger, childhood wounds and trauma, and financial hardships.
The Drury’s have a background as small business owners in the custom residential masonry and concrete trades. Kenny and Heidi are passionate about teaching couples how to do marriage Gods way because they believe every marriage matters. They have experience, training, and certification to work with engaged couples, traditional families, blended families, attachment styles and wounds, addiction and recovery, childhood sexual abuse and trauma, prison ministry, woman’s ministry, and marriage ministry. Kristen Best brings her experience as an HR director, manager and team builder to her role as a BKF coach. With a degree in Sociology from the University of North Texas, she has worked first-hand with executives, parents, couples, and families. Kristen is passionate about helping blended families find their passion and purpose in God’s Kingdom.
Kristen specializes in pre-marriage, marriage, parenting, co-parenting, leadership training, and mentorship.
Scott & Lindsay Schmitz

Scott and Lindsay are a double-blended family with three teenage daughters. They have been working with couples and single parents in group settings and one-on-one for over two years. During this time, they have been able to use their experience in both their roles of bio- and bonus-parent to help navigate blended family complexities.
Scott & Lindsay recognize that each blended family is unique but having a strong relationship with God as the first priority followed by marriage, is the key to success in each situation.
Lindsay is currently working to complete her master’s degree in Leadership and Ministry from Evangel University. Scott has been leading in the Army for nearly 20 years.

Vanessa is a wife and mother as well as a passionate lover of Jesus, His Word, and His people. A registered nurse for more than 7 years, she has a heart to serve those in their most vulnerable seasons of life. Birthed out of a desire to see God work in marriages and families, Vanessa is pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at The King’s University. She is called to help people discover their Kingdom purpose and find true freedom through deeper intimacy with Jesus.

Scott Martindale

Scott has 20-plus years of experience in blended family, marriage, and pre-marriage coaching. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Abilene Christian University and his master’s degree in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin Simmons University. Scott is fueled by a desire to see individuals, marriages, and families live life the way God intended. Scott’s heart is to walk alongside married couples and families, helping them navigate the process of blending a family in a healthy way.
